Free Fall Family Festival

Saturday, October 6, 2018 CANCELLED

Due to the immanent thunderstorm weather, we are cancelling the 2018 edition of the Free Fall Family Festival. We feel the risk is too great. So… please put the Trunk-or-Treat event on your calendar: October 27, @6-8pm. Hayrides, crafts, dinner (hot dogs, pizza, etc.) and trick-or-treating from trunk to trunk. See you then!!!

FREE FALL FAMILY FESTIVAL at HARDY United Methodist Church (6510 East Highland Rd, M-59, Howell). Pony rides, petting zoo, crafts, hot dogs and games! Donations will be accepted but not expected. Y’all come on over – it’s fun!

The current worship series: I WILL!

When the Lord asks us to do a task, the hope is that we will have a willing heart. This worship series challenges us to do some of the basic things that Christians are called to do. You are invited to come and find out if you are already doing them… or if you need to change your ways. If I ask you to come to Sunday morning worship, will you answer, ” I WILL!”???  (Starting September 2)

Welcome to Hardy UMC’s website…

IMG_0073Hello! I’m glad you found our website. Perhaps it means you are looking for a church in which to grow in your relationship with God, or to do servant ministry that makes a difference in the lives of people in the community, or to make some new friends, who will be there for you. These are the things we excel in. Hardy Church has staying power; we’ve been here for more than 140 years. Our annual summer chicken dinner and December Live Nativity events are both celebrating over 50 consecutive years of ministry. But we are not satisfied to keep doing only the same things we’ve done before. We respond to current needs with fresh, new activities for our children and youth, new small group adult Bible studies, and men’s and women’s groups that have been recharged over the last  year. Even our website is new. I encourage you to come worship with us on a Sunday morning or come for one of our weekday activities. We’ll be looking for you!

Open hearts, open minds, open doors

This is a United Methodist slogan signifying our openness to loving God and neighbor, our willingness to consider many ways of being a Christian and our invitation for anyone and everyone to come fellowship with us. But, I was thinking about that last one, open doors. I think it also means that we open our doors to go out into our community to help people who are in need. There is another slogan that comes from our Rethink Church website: Church can happen anywhere.

Opening doors to go out where church can happen anywhere
is part of who we are at Hardy United!
