Chicken BBQ June 23, 2018 4:30 – 7:00 p.m.
Since 1962, Hardy Church has had a Chicken Barbeque to support the ministries at Hardy. The meal starts with one half chicken, using a basting sauce recipe that was received from Michigan State University in 1957. We also serve two sides, rolls, beverages, and a slice of home-made pie. Tickets are $10 for adults / $5 for children 12 and under. Dine-in or take-out. Call 517-546-1122 to order tickets, after May 1st.
July 30-August 3, 2018 5:15-8pm
Romper says, “You OTTER come to the Rolling River Rampage this summer, if you are a child up through 5th grade.” Our Vacation Bible School includes dinner, music, crafts, outdoor exercise, and a Bible lesson. The key Bible passage is something God promises, from Isaiah 43:2…
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you.”
There is no fee for our VBS – it is our gift to the children of the community. Call the church office at 517-546-1122 for more information and to make a reservation (Wednesday-Friday 9am-2pm). Experience the Ride of a Lifetime with God!
Hello! I’m glad you found our website. Perhaps it means you are looking for a church in which to grow in your relationship with God, or to do servant ministry that makes a difference in the lives of people in the community, or to make some new friends, who will be there for you. These are the things we excel in. Hardy Church has staying power; we’ve been here for more than 140 years. Our annual summer chicken dinner and December Live Nativity events are both celebrating over 50 consecutive years of ministry. But we are not satisfied to keep doing only the same things we’ve done before. We respond to current needs with fresh, new activities for our children and youth, new small group adult Bible studies, and men’s and women’s groups that have been recharged over the last year. Even our website is new. I encourage you to come worship with us on a Sunday morning or come for one of our weekday activities. We’ll be looking for you!

This is a United Methodist slogan signifying our openness to loving God and neighbor, our willingness to consider many ways of being a Christian and our invitation for anyone and everyone to come fellowship with us. But, I was thinking about that last one, open doors. I think it also means that we open our doors to go out into our community to help people who are in need. There is another slogan that comes from our Rethink Church website: Church can happen anywhere.

Opening doors to go out where church can happen anywhere
is part of who we are at Hardy United!
